Konaseema to Rayalaseema — straight to Denton
Old-fashioned village cooking, made clean and modern — hand-ground spices, cold-pressed oils, and farm-fresh produce in every plate.

Our Story
Palle Vellugu means “the light of the village.” We grew up on food that took its time — chutneys pounded on stone, spices roasted at home, oils pressed cold from the first crop. From the lush canals of Konaseema to the fiery kitchens of Rayalaseema, every region of Andhra taught us something different.
In Denton, we cook the same way our grandmothers did — just cleaner, brighter, and made fresh to order from our truck.
Taste the storyFollow one plate, start to finish
Step 1
At dawn, Guntur chilies and roasted dals meet the grinding stone — slow circles, no machines.
Step 2
Rayalaseema groundnut and coastal sesame, pressed cold — golden oil, drop by drop, nothing refined away.
Step 3
Batter rested overnight hits the hot iron in the truck window on Locust Street — steam rises, edges crisp.
Step 4
Crisp, fiery, warm with ghee — and for one bite, you're back in the village.
The Promise
Four promises we never break — the same rules every village kitchen lived by.
Podis and masalas ground in small batches — never bought in bulk, never sitting on a shelf.
Groundnut and sesame oils pressed the traditional way — clean flavor, nothing refined away.
Vegetables and herbs sourced fresh from local Texas farms, chopped the day we serve them.
No premixes, no frozen batters, no artificial colors. If it takes longer, it takes longer.
“From the grinding stone of a Konaseema kitchen to a street corner in Denton — the flavour never changed hands.”
